End of Summer (Germany and Fishing for Salmon and Grayling)

Summer has almost come to a close, well not yet, but it is back to work soon. Now it is time for biofuel lectures, courses and lots of research. However, I can definitely say that the summer was fantastic. Here are some pics from the latest adventures to check out.

Here are a few pics from a trip Salmon fishing in Falkenberg. No salmon, but was a great outing!

We were also in Germany for a week before Sofia's parents moved back to Sweden. Hamburg and Berlin! Ive only been there in Winter, but now in the summer, it was amazing! I saw the Berlin Wall, Checkpoint Charlie, war monuments and of course had great sausages and beer!

Hitlers Stadium

Me and a great wheat beer

The Berlin Wall (Some pieces of it that are remaining)

Checkpoint Charlie!

A small monument outside a house where a Jewish person used to live. This one says they were deported and executed in Auschwitz. There are all over in Hamburg.

Salmon Fishing is very Productive

Well, not exactly. I'd say Ive been out after salmon and sea-trout in rivers in Sweden possibly on 10 ocassions the last year, and my total is 0 salmon/0 seatrout in rivers. I did manage one in the sea however, but we all know it is much cooler to catch one in the river.

What do I blame this on? My 2-hand rod! Well its been hard, but Im getting better and better and learning to "swing" the flies through the pools. After another 10 times or so, im going back to the single hander and nymphing with big nymphs/eggs like back home!

Rivers fished for salmon and seatrout:

Lagan, Halland
Ätran, Halland
Emån, Småland
Nyköpingsån, Södermanland

Next river..... to come!
