Östergötland Road Trip!

Again when you Americans are complaining of the $4+ gasoline, we are paying around 9-10 bucks a gallon over here in Europe! What do I have though, yeah baby...A 1.3 L Ford Fiesta with 39 mpg! So, to get some more use out of the bad boy, Sofia and I went on a road trip yesterday to see some of the things Östergötland (the local county) has to offer.
We first went to see, Rök and the viking stone there (the best preserved in all of Sweden). Viking stones ROCK! We then set off to visit the Monastary and Castle in Vadstena, and along the way saw MORE viking stones. They are called "Runstenar" here in Sweden because the language/lettering is called runor. Finally we ended up in the castle, visited the picturesque little town of Vadstena, saw the monastary and just had a GREAT weekend!

Here is the pics:

And here's some pics from our weekend last week. When the weather is nice, we BBQ. But check out our grill. Its called an "engångsgrill" which basically translates to "one time grill" but works wonders on a big slab of meat like we had. Check out my other "beast," my Blue Crescent city bike! Yeah Baby!

2 weeks and Sofia and I are in USA!!!
Home sweet (sugar and fat filled) home!
